Removal

1. Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal

Caution:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. Remove battery

1. Loosen the nut and remove the bolt and battery clamp.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the battery tray.
4. Remove the 4 bolts and battery carrier.
5. Remove the 2 bolts and battery bracket reinforcement.

3. Remove speed sensor nt

1. Disconnect the sensor connector.
2. Remove the bolt and sensor.
3. Remove the o-ring from the sensor.

4. Remove speed sensor nc

1. Disconnect the sensor connector.
2. Remove the bolt and sensor.
3. Remove the o-ring from the sensor.

Inspection

1. Inspect speed sensor nt

Measure the resistance of the sensor.

Installation

1. Install speed sensor nc

1. Coat a new o-ring with atf.
2. Install the o-ring to the sensor.
3. Install the sensor with the bolt.

Torque: 11 n*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*Lbf)

4. Connect the sensor connector.

2. Install speed sensor nt

1. Coat a new o-ring with atf.
2. Install the o-ring to the sensor.
3. Install the sensor with the bolt.

Torque: 11 n*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*Lbf)

4. Connect the sensor connector.

3. Install battery

1. Install the battery bracket reinforcement with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 20 n*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*Lbf)

2. Install the battery carrier with the 4 bolts.

Torque: 20 n*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*Lbf)

3. Install the battery tray.
4. Install the battery with the battery clamp.

Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*Lbf) for bolt

5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*Lbf) for nut

4. Connect cable to negative battery terminal
